A current guide, “The Two-Mum or dad Privilege,” by the economist Melissa Kearney, has acquired an excessive amount of media protection, urging men and women to marry for the sake of their children. However the journalist Anna Louie Sussman, who studies on gender, marriage and fertility, argues that “it’s not that straightforward to get married.”
On this audio essay, Sussman explains why marriage is out of attain for therefore many, and says that merely advising folks to marry comes throughout as smug and out of contact.
