A highschool freshman in Chicago has died after struggling a stroke throughout swim follow.
James Oliver, 14, collapsed at his follow at West Chicago Excessive Faculty on December 8. It was decided that he had suffered an AVM stroke and mind hemorrhage.
On Sunday, Oliver handed away after spending weeks within the hospital in vital situation.
A neurosurgeon at Northwestern Drugs instructed ABC7 Chicago that the “very uncommon situation is normally congenital.”
“It’s thought that the majority AVMs are current from delivery, and so we see quite a lot of AVMs both being recognized by the way or being recognized as a result of they bleed. We see quite a lot of that in kids, and youngsters and younger adults,” Dr. Matthew Potts mentioned.

Oliver was a member of his church’s youth group and beloved by the group.
