Sunday’s ugly loss to the Carolina Panthers may need been the low-point of head coach Arthur Smith’s disappointing tenure, and it put a giant dent of their probabilities within the Atlanta Falcons’ NFC South playoff race.
With yet another loss the Falcons will clinch their third consecutive shedding season below Smith, and it’s affordable to conclude that his job might be in jeopardy.
Group proprietor Arthur Clean spoke about Smith’s standing on Tuesday and was non-committal on Smith’s future.
In talking with Jeff Hullinger of Georgia Public Broadcasting, Clean mentioned he’s dedicated to Smith and desires to see the group play out the ultimate three video games of the common season. He additionally said making the playoffs is not necessarily a requirement for Smith to keep his job.
“We’re dedicated to teach Smith. We’re going to play these final three video games. We’re dedicated to win. We’ll let the season play out and go from there. Clearly, this has not been the form of 12 months we anticipated. You’d hear that from coach Smith; you’d hear it from our followers, and our gamers. We perceive that. We perceive the challenges. On the finish of the 12 months, we are going to assess the place we’re and go from there.”
