A quarterback change for the Las Vegas Raiders would not appear unreasonable after they had been shut out in Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Throughout his Monday information convention, Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce did not rule out the likelihood that he’ll bench rookie QB Aidan O’Connell and presumably flip again to Jimmy Garoppolo.
“We’re simply going by means of the method,” Pierce said. “We’re not going to hurry to make any determination and never do something emotional primarily based on what I learn right here or what anyone’s telling me. I will go off my intestine.”
Las Vegas benched Jimmy G after a Week 8 loss to the Detroit Lions. In six video games, he accomplished 65.5% of his passes for 1,205 yards, seven TDs, 9 interceptions and a below-average 78.1 passer ranking.
O’Connell hasn’t fared a lot better. In seven video games, the fifth-round pick of Purdue has accomplished 63.8% of his passes for 4 TDs, seven picks and a below-average 74.8 passer ranking.
