Kickers are higher than they’ve ever been at each stage of soccer. That has been apparent on the NFL stage for a few decade now, and we’re even beginning to see it within the school ranks the place kickers have been notoriously unreliable. We had one other reminder of that on Saturday afternoon when Temple kicker Maddux Trujillo nailed a 64-yard area aim on the finish of the half in opposition to Utah State.
That’s an unbelievable kick. Not just for the space but in addition as a result of it was not excellent climate circumstances in Philadelphia on Saturday.
Much more noteworthy is that kick set a brand new file for the longest area aim ever kicked at Lincoln Monetary Area. That file beforehand belonged to Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott, who had beforehand kicked a 61-yard area aim.
That area aim introduced Temple to inside one level going into the half.
The Owls finally took the lead popping out after halftime.
