At the very least 24 miners are feared trapped following one of many deadliest mine blasts in recent times.
An explosion at a mine in japanese Iran has killed no less than 30 individuals and injured one other 17, Iranian state tv reported, including that many staff had been feared trapped.
The blast happened attributable to a methane gasoline leak at a coal mine in Tabas, some 540km (335 miles) southeast of the capital, Tehran, the IRNA information company stated on Sunday.
