Every week after he was waived by the Utah Jazz, veteran guard Russell Westbrook will signal a two-year, $6.8 million veteran minimal contract with the Denver Nuggets, his agent instructed ESPN on Friday.
Per the ESPN report, Westbrook was in Denver on Friday to signal the deal, which features a participant choice for the 2025-26 season.
Westbrook, 35, was waived final Saturday by the Jazz following a sign-and-trade deal that despatched guard Kris Dunn to the Clippers.
Westbrook joined the Clippers late within the 2022-23 season after he was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Jazz after which waived. He returned to a beginning position late within the season throughout a brief 21-game stint with the Clippers, then transitioned to a bench position final season and completed seventh in Sixth Man of the Yr voting.
Westbrook averaged 11.1 factors with 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists for the Clippers final season in 68 video games (11 begins).
